FROM THE PROVINCIAL GRAND MASTER

We are very honoured and privileged to join with you in the 175th celebrations of Lodge Bannockburn Bruce & Thistle No. 312.

Your charter was granted on the First day of November 1824, Bro. Thomas Crawford being your first Right Worshipful Master. Three years later on October 23rd 1827, the Lodge was consecrated by Bro. John Prentice, Right Worshipful Master of Lodge Ancient Stirling No. 30.

Throughout the 175 years of your existence the brethren of '312' have strived at all times to maintain the highest principles of Freemasonry with dignity and decorum, both within the Lodge and throughout the community.

This Lodge is held in very high esteem within the Province of Stirlingshire and beyond. It is worth noting that several brethren who have graced the chair have progressed into office in the Provincial Grand Lodge of Stirlingshire, surely a measure of the quality of Lodge Bannockburn Bruce & Thistle.

It is pleasing to note that Lodge St. Andrew Denny & Loanhead No. 176, my own Mother Lodge, was one of your sponsor Lodges along with the Lodge of Alloa No. 69 and that friendships with both these Lodges are maintained to this day.

It is with great pleasure I offer sincere congratulations on behalf of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Stirlingshire and wish you continued success in the years that lie ahead.

Bro. John McLeod Sneddon
Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master
